Startup Village, which completed two successful years, is introducing an industry startup connect leadership programme for entrepreneur business mentoring to its incubator services, reported Business Standard.

The mentoring programme will be guided by Infosys’ executive vice chairman and Startup Village chief mentor Kris Gopalakrishnan, and some of the world’s leading technology companies ares expected to come on board.

The roadmap for the new project will be announced at Startup Village’s second anniversary celebrations to be inaugurated by chief minister Oommen Chandy on April 26.

Startup Village was set up on April 15, 2012 is a technology business incubator in Kochi and it is India’s first incubator that is funded jointly by the public and private sector. So far, the incubator has received 2300+ applications and has supported 600 startups out of which 227 are student startups.

Some of the major initiatives of Startup Village for entrepreneurs include SV Square, a government-backed programme to give students the chance to go to Silicon Valley and experience it first-hand; the Develop1000p programme to build a community of 1,000 plus mobile application developers spread across engineering colleges.
