Trescon’s World AI Show Makes its Debut in Mumbai

When it comes to the question of saving lives, the infinite possibilities that AI opens up to improve medical outcomes cannot be ignored. With about 70% of deaths occurring due to medical negligence in India, the need to integrate AI within the healthcare sector seems all the more crucial.

After a successful stint in Amsterdam, Trescon is bringing the World AI Show series to the financial capital of India, Mumbai. The show is taking place on 22-23 November, 2018, at The Lalit Plaza, and is being officially endorsed by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, Government of Maharashtra, and NITI Aayog.

The main highlight of the show will be the display of India’s first 3D Printed Humanoid Robot, ‘Manav’. Attendees will have a chance to witness the Startup World Cup, where participants will get a chance to raise up to USD 1 million in capital funding for their startup and associated projects by pitching their ideas in front of global investors, including VCs and key government authorities.

Understanding the benefits of early adoption of AI within various domains, the Indian landscape seems welcoming towards new-age AI technologies. According to a report published by CIS India earlier this year, out of the USD 5.5 billion that was raised by global digital healthcare companies during the third financial quarter, at least 16 Indian healthcare IT companies received funding from international investors to bring a paradigm shift to the Indian healthcare system.

Leading up to the event, Mohammed Saleem, CEO of Trescon said, “We are really excited to take our global WAIS series to Mumbai this November. It’s about time that India becomes self-compliant, keeping up with the race for technical parity. This show will provide a platform to government functionaries and key industry experts to explore new possibilities in the realm of AI and Machine Learning in order to improve and enhance.”

Some of the notable personalities from the AI industry who are scheduled to be present at the show include Kaustubh Dhavse, Joint Secretary and Officer on Special Duty to Maharashtra Chief Minister; Dinis Guarda, Author, CEO and Founder of Ztudium – Blocksdna – Intelligenthq; and Arnab Kumar, Manager Frontier Technologies, NITI Aayog, Government of India, among others.

Dinis Guarda said, “Artificial Intelligence is as revolutionary as Fire or Electricity before. AI is now the driving force technology together with Blockchain, Big data and IOT. The governments and businesses that will lead this will be the next global leaders in a fast shifting connected industry 4.0 economy.”

After Mumbai, the global AI series is set to conduct its show in Mauritius in the month of November, thereby concluding the series for the year 2018. Trescon is founded and managed by a group of specialists with combined expertise in successfully developing business events, trainings, and consulting for corporates, governments, associations and high-net-worth individuals across the world.
